Although everyone knows that proper levels of iron in a person’s diet helps lead to good health, a surprising number of people still suffer from iron deficiency.
The reason for this has to do with diet, and lifestyle habit.
For example, people who drink coffee or depend on substances such as
soft drinks which are loaded with caffeine, are hurting their body’s
ability to absorb iron. Caffeine interferes with iron absorption, so
when a person does not increase their iron levels to compensate for
such foods in their diet, they are actually hurting themselves.
